The Death Storm is a powerful storm phenomenon that surrounds the area of Symphonia caused by the after-effects of the Overdrive. The result from the explosion caused a major disturbance in the planet's atmosphere surrounding the former kingdom.[1]
Ever since, the storm continues to surround Symphonia through air and water, with none being able to enter and survive. However 6 years prior to the series, the Imperial Army built the Empire Gate, an indestructible tunnel being able to penetrate through the storm with a toll of 1 million edels.
The gate was eventually destroyed by the Doryu Ghost Squad,[2] but the storm was clearly vanished Elie's outburst activation of the Etherion.[3]
